After all the hullabaloo, Israel Luna’s Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives opens tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival — with the first of four screenings. Tonight’s is already sold out, but there are tickets for more over the next week or so. And thanks to all the controversy, it’s the most-commented-on film on Tribeca’s website. Which I guess means Israel owes a huge thank-you to those who sought to destroy the film and censor its exhibition.
