Lambda Legal’s 2026 Landmark Dinner will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. and returns to EBJ Union Station, 400 S. Houston St.
The dinner will honor Omar J. Alaniz, managing partner of Reed Smith LLP’s Dallas office and a board member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association.
According to Outstanding.involverolemodels.org, “Omar also collaborates with LGBTQ+ legal advocacy groups, including the National LGBT+ Bar Association, Lambda Legal, and Out Leadership. Omar has received several local and national awards for his practice in restructuring and insolvency law and has been invited to join the nation’s most prestigious associations in his legal field.
He was recently named one of the top 100 lawyers in Texas by Super Lawyers. Omar is courageously leveraging his prominence as an out gay Latinx leader in Texas’s legal community to be a powerful LGBTQ+ changemaker in Texas, where lawmakers are proposing some of the country’s most anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
Brian Bond,the featured speaker, is CEO of PFLAG National. PFLAG is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.
