The Cedar Springs Merchant Association continues their Summer Movie Nights tonight with “The Broken Hearts Club” starring Dean Cain and a pre-“Scrubs” Zach Braff. A group of guys come to grips with individual issues through friendship and softball. Hard to believe this movie is just shy of a decade old. This is the second film in their new series that plays through September 30.
It shouldn’t be too bad out there. The movie screens at 8:45 p.m. and Weather.com forecasts temperature at that time to hover in the low 80s. But I’m no Pete Delkus, of course.
Speaking of the Cedar Springs Merchant Association, I noticed on their website that they’re having another “Beautification Gala” on September 11. Do we know what came out of the first one back in March? We need some clarification about the status of this project: did Beller Guest Owens produce the renderings they were hired to do, or is the money being raised to pay for these renderings at a later date?
