The Dallas Eagle opened at 4 p.m. today in its new location after successfully completing a change of address on the bar’s liquor license, according to one of the Eagle’s co-owners.
Carolyn Beck, a spokeswoman for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, confirmed that the Eagle has been cleared to open in its new location, at 5740 Maple Ave. Beck said her boss, TABC Administrator Alan Steen, personally delivered the required documentation to the owners of the Eagle earlier today.
The Eagle’s new location, which has been five years in the making, was shut down in the midst of a grand opening two weeks ago after TABC and the Dallas Police Department discovered that the bar’s owners hadn’t completed a change of address on the license. The owners of the Eagle blamed a private company they’d hired to expedite their application for the change of address. They said the company told them they were free to open the new bar.
UPDATE: As Jay notes below, it’s true that the owners of the Eagle do not yet have a dance hall license from the city of Dallas for the new bar. This means they can’t allow dancing until they receive one. They didn’t have a dance hall permit for the old bar either. However, unlike the old bar the new one has a dance floor.vklomкак оптимизировать сайт самостоятельно
