Most liberal gays — not to say all Americans — know Ted Olson for his work in favor of the GOP on the Bush v. Gore case that dominated the last month of 2000. He’s come into the mainstream again lately because of his support for same-sex marriage, the denial of which he is challenging in a lawsuit co-sponsored by the liberal David Boies.
