Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico and Rep. Vikki Goodwin, who is in a run-off for the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant governor, held an impromptu get-out-the-vote rally in the Kroger parking lot on Wednesday afternoon, May 20.
Other candidates in run-offs who attended were Rep. Julie Johnson, Omar Narvaez, Venton Jones and Damarcus Offord. Rep. Jessica Gonzalez, who is running unopposed, and Judge Peggy Hoffmn also attended.
Talarico took time to pose for pics and spent extra time talking to kids, encouraging them to tell their parents and other adults to get out and vote.
“Who can resist a cute kid?” he said, explaining why he loves kids supporting his campaign.
In his short remarks to the crowd, he promised he’d be busy with issues other than crosswalks.
