Game Night, Christmas Eve and more

TYLER — Tyler Area Gays (TAG+) has several community events planned this month, including holiday-themed gatherings, karaoke and a confidential HIV peer support meeting.
TAG+ President Jay Hilburn said the organization will host its annual Holiday Game Night on Dec. 27 in the Genecov Room at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will include games, karaoke, food and a chili cook-off, with a prize awarded for the best chili. Attendees are invited to bring a dish to enter or participate as judges.

The evening will also feature an ornament exchange beginning at 7 p.m. Hilburn said those who wish to take part are asked to bring a tree ornament valued at $5 or less.

Karaoke is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. He said parking and the entrance to the Genecov Room are located off East Line Street.

TAG+ will host a karaoke night on Dec. 23 at Plaid Rabbit, 118 W. Erwin St. in downtown Tyler. The event is set to begin at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

The organization will hold an HIV peer support group meeting on Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Glass House Resource Center. The group is confidential and free to attend.

TAG+ is a nonprofit organization that serves LGBTQ+ people and allies in the Tyler area through social events, support services and community outreach.
