UPDATE/EDITOR’S NOTE: This post originally noted that despite the charge against him alleging that Israel Luna was a sex offender operating a sexually-oriented business, Luna is not on either the Texas or the national sex offender registery. BUT we failed to point out that the same is true for Marc Tuton. Tuton is not listed on the sex offender registries either. We apologize for the implications of that inadvertent oversight.

More information has been shared over the last several hours relating to the Dallas Police Department’s raid on Israel Luna’s Spayse Studios last night (Friday, April 17).

Publicly available records for Dallas County Jail have been updated to include charges and bail amounts for Luna and Marc Tuton, both of whom were arrested during the raid and booked into the jail.

Records indicate that Luna has been charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, with an aggregate weight of 400 grams or more. Penalty group 2 Penalty Group 2 consists primarily of hallucinogens, stimulants, and certain depressants, including THC concentrates such as oil, waves and edibles, mushrooms, amphetamines and more. Bail on that charge was set at $25,000 by magistrate Peter Graham.

He was also charged with possession of between 40 ounces and five pounds of marijuana, with bond set by Graham at $10,000. The third charge against Luna is owning/operating/managing a sexually-oriented business as a sex offender. Bond on that charge was set at $2,000.

The last of four charges against Luna is promoting prostitution, with bail set at $15,000, putting total bail amount at $52,000.

Despite the charge referring to Luna as a sex offender, there is no mention of him in either the Texas sex offender registry or the national sex offender registry.

Jail records indicate that as of 5:30 p.m. today (Saturday, April 18) Luna remained in the jail.

Jail records show a single charge against Tuton to be owning/operating/managing a sexually-oriented business as a sex offender, with bail set by Graham at $2,000. He also remains in jail as of this writing, according to jail records.

Dallas Voice on Friday night asked Dallas Police Department’s Public Information Office for information about the raid. A spokesman for that office has responded, saying they have no information at this time but would continue to look for details on the raid, including the basis for the warrant and ensuing charges.

Dallas Voice has been told that officers involved in the raid took cameras and other filmmaking equipment that had been stored at the studio but did not belong to Luna? We were also told that officers who raided the studio left it “totally trashed and standing wide open.”

An individual purporting to have been attending the event at Spayse Studios when the venue was raided said that “Everything was fine, we were having fun” when the lights were suddenly turned on and “Staff said, ‘Everyone get dressed, Dallas PD is outside, and they have search warrant.’”

In the ensuing chaos, the man said, “at least 2-3 guys had a panic attack,” and that officers “told us all to come out one by one, with our hands up and empty.” He said officers had the attendees sit down on the ground and then zip-tied their hands behind their backs.

“There were probably 40-50 men” who were each asked their names, dates of birth, their ages and how much money they paid to attend the event, according to the post.

“We waited probably an hour outside on the curb. Most of the guys were let go, but some stayed on the curb.”

According to the social media post, officers with the DPD Vice Unit were there and searched the location with dogs.

Some sources have said as many as two other individuals were arrested and jailed, but Dallas Voice has no confirmation of that.

    1. We are no more perverts than you are. We’re all the same. We’re just being ourselves and loving who we want just like you get to be yourself and love who you want. We didn’t ask to be born this way anymore than you asked to be straight. How do you feel if the cops are rated one of your clubs one of the places you hang out with with your girls? And get treated like that how would you feel? Put yourself in the other person’s shoes, man quit being so narrowminded. Hate us all you want. We’re not leaving. I will always have one thing on you that you can never have. The sex we have is 1 million times better than the sex you have. Guys are better on every level of that department. You’ll never truly get to experience a perfect blow job. And the sex is plentiful unlike what you get. You see unlike women who need a reason for sex, we don’t need a reason we just need a place. One thing on our side of the fence that you’ll never hear, you’ll never hear. “not tonight, dear I have a headache“ lol.
Should at least give it a try before you knock it. I used to be completely straight. Was married for eight years to a beautiful woman. I thought that was it. Until the first time I gave in and I kissed another man. The fireworks went off unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. That’s when I knew. I belonged on the other side. I happily hopped the fence and I have never looked back since, and I’ve never been happier in my life.
You don’t get to judge other people, only God gets to do that. And you ain’t him.
