Tickets are selling fast for Marsha Dimes’ 5th annual Holiday Spectacular charity show, a high-energy spectacular featuring Sisters-in-Action, set for Saturday, Dec. 20, at The Rose Room inside S4, 3911 Cedar Springs Road.

Ticket prices start at $10, available online at EventBrite.com.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Turtle Creek Chorale, building upon the Sisters-in-Action legacy of raising more than $350,000 for LGBTQ+ charities.

What began as a virtual holiday show has grown into an annual December tradition, Marsha explains, with each year featuring a soft plot that ties the performers together. Previous shows included an office party disaster for “Marsha & Friends Incorporated,” and last year’s Chicken Ranch-inspired theme “Lil Ole Bitty Pissant Christmas Show.”

“The Marsha & Friends Holiday Spectacular started as a simple idea to bring people together and raise money with friends who love performing,” Marsha said. “Five years later, it has turned into a full holiday production with its own personality.

“The best part is the audience who shows up ready to laugh, cheer, and support something that matters.”

This year’s theme follows Marsha through a holiday travel nightmare that sends her around the world with the Sisters-in-Action. The show also features the debut of a reimagined number titled “Ring Them Christmas Bells” (The Liza fans will get it).

The Turtle Creek Chorale began in 1980 when 30 men stood on stage and sang at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. That small group has grown to more than 250 dues-paying members who contribute more than 100,000 hours annually to rehearsals, performances, community outreach and educational workshops.

Turtle Creek Chorale is the most-recorded male chorus in the world and continues to play a vital role in LGBTQ culture across North Texas.

This year’s show schedule includes a VIP reception at 5:30 p.m., reserved and general admission doors at 6 p.m. with the show start time set for 6:30 p.m.

“I love producing the show and hanging out with my Sisters backstage,” Marsha said. “It’s just an added benefit that our amazing audience always shows up and gives so generously — and I can’t wait for everyone to see this year’s show!”
