Del Shores has been spending mucho time in Dallas in 2009 already. First, he was here for Uptown Players’ opening of his “Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife” in February. He spent this past weekend conducting an acting workshop, which he’ll repeat again this coming weekend. And on Friday, he will perform his one-man show at KD Studio.
But you can see the gay writer/director/producer tonight, at the annual Column Awards. Shores will join Tony winner Cady Huffman (“The Producers”) as a celebrity presenter tonight at that gala fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS the Irving Arts Center. (Non-celebrity presenters include me!) Tickets are still available, and the show is always a hoot.
