Second mural painting begins on Cedar Springs Road

Brian Kenny, a New York artist, is painting a second mural on Cedar Springs Road. The wall is on the side of Cedar Springs Tattoo & Piercing and faces the HIV mural on the side of the Nelson Tebedo Clinic.

This mural is dedicated to the transgender community. Marsha P. Johnson, credited with starting the Stonewall Riots, is featured prominently in the painting. According to the artist, this is the largest public mural in the country dedicated to the trans community at 2,100 sq. ft.

Kenny is scheduled to be in Dallas for just two weeks and plans to have the mural completed before he leaves and in time for Pride.
