On Wednesday, drag star Sapphira Cristál announced her brand new “clinically acclaimed” stand-up comedy show, One Slue Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. The tour kicks off on Thursday in Buffalo as she hits comedy clubs across North America. She caps off the tour with a Dallas visit on April 19 at Punch Line.
“One Slue Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is what happens when you’re locked in a room with high comedy, low patience, and impeccable wigs for drag therapy with me. And I’m both the doctor and a patient,” Cristál said in today’s press release.
She gained fame as the runner-up and Miss Congeniality of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16. She is also a classically trained opera singer known for theatrical lip syncs and six-octave range. She debuted her original operatic production, Soundcake, with Monét X Change and Thorgy Thor at Lincoln Center. Afterward, she toured her one-woman show, The Cristál Ball Tour.
