MD Progressive Care
Although he had been in practice in Dallas since 2000, it was March 2020 when Dr. Marc Tribble opened his own independent private practice in the heart of the gayborhood at 3500 Oak Lawn. This new practice — called MD Progressive Care and specializing in PrEP, STD treatment, HIV treatment and LGBT care — had one very specific mission: “to provide modern medical care in private office setting that is smaller and focused on delivering prompt physician access, whether in the office or by a remote TeleHealth visit.”
Over the next three years, Dr. Tribble added a certified family nurse practitioner, a certified acute care nurse practitioner and an advanced practice registered nurse to MD Progressive.
He and his staff know that LGBTQ people don’t always get the respect and the care they deserve thanks to the homophobia that is still rampant. They understand because they, too, are members of the LGBTQ community. That is why they go the extra mile to make sure their patients feel heard, respected and comfortable.

Best General Practitioner, Best HIV Specialist: Marc Tribble
Arlington native Dr. Marc Tribble attended Baylor University in Waco and then completed his medical training at UTMB-Galveston, Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and UT Southwestern/Parkland Hospital/Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Dallas. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and infectious disease.
He has been in practice in Dallas since 2000, in private practice since 2003, and consistently rated as on the areas top doctors every years since 2007.
In his 24 years in practice, Dr. Tribble has treated more than 3,000 people living with HIV, and he has participated in more than 30 clinical trials for HIV medications and treatments. Through it all, he continues to put his patients first, delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care.

Best Cosmetic Practitioner: Peter Triporo
Peter Triporo earned his master’s of science degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and received his board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Then he went on to study at and graduate from the University of Texas at Rio Grande with a post-master’s certificate in psychiatric mental health — addiction and general psychiatry — because he saw patients in the LGBTQ community struggling with addiction and depression.
But Peter has worked in a variety of practice settings including cosmetics (Botox and Juvéderm), weight loss, pain management, HIV/PREP, primary care and trans-affirming care, all of which helped him earn a place in “The Top Ten NP in America” as named by the Point of Care Network in 2017.
When he’s not working, Peter enjoys playing computer video games, working in his vegetable garden and playing with his two dachshunds. But respectful, thoughtful care for his patients always remains his top priority, and that’s why he was named the 2024 RVA Best Cosmetic Practitioner.
