Rep. Julie Johnson appointed to Appropriations, Judiciary

Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan assigned Rep. Julie Johnson to two powerful committees — Appropriations and Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence. Johnson is a founding member of the Texas House LGBT Caucus.

In a statement, Johnson said that her office’s most important goal is to solve issues facing her northwest Dallas County district during the pandemic.

“I am grateful to be able to continue my work for healthcare reform and protecting Texans,” she said. “I look forward to joining my colleagues in Austin soon and getting to the urgent work of helping Texas families survive and build for a better tomorrow.”
