Razzle Dazzle Dallas, the traditional street party that was revived last June after a five-year hiatus, will take place again on June 7–10.
The week of parties that fall during national Pride celebrations are a community fundraiser. Last year Razzle returned $60,500 to eight beneficiaries.
Community organizations can apply to be included as beneficiaries by going to the Razzle Dazzle website and completing the application by Jan. 15. The steering committee is expected to announce the beneficiaries by the end of January.
The annual event builds on a 30-year tradition by hosting a family-friendly line-up of events in partnership with local businesses, corporations, artists, community groups and AIDS service organizations.
Razzle Dazzle Dallas is committed to helping community initiatives and organizations that are focused on efforts to better the LGBT community including, but not limited to, the battle against AIDS and HIV infection, community relations, beautification, education and wellness.
Two main events are the Metro Ball that takes place at Station 4 on Friday night and raises money for the Greg Dollgener AIDS Fund and the street party on Saturday night.
