I was just reminded that tonight’s episode of Sonic Assembly on KNON will feature Randy Roberts Potts and hubby as guest DJs followed by local musician MC 900 Ft. Jesus. Or as the Facebook event says, they “are highjacking the airwaves.”

Hosted by DJ Sista Whitenoise and DJ Woodtronic, the show describes itself as a radio program for audiophiles focused on brilliant music. We don’t know what that means, but tonight it gets some gay flair with Roberts at the helm. So does this mean a little extra dose of Lady Gaga or tracks off of Madonna’s latest? I asked Woodtronic (AKA Reid Robinson) and even he didn’t know.

“I just say you guys surprise me, but seeing the interaction between Randy and MC 900 Ft, it should be interesting to see what they come up with,” Robinson said.

Of course, you might know Randy Roberts Potts as the grandson of famed televangelist Oral Roberts. Or from David Taffet’s profile of the guy back in 2010.  Robinson opted to have the guys on after DJing at their wedding close to two months ago.

“I thought it’d be a fun thing to happen and they gave me such a great songlist for their wedding,” he added.

So no hint on what we could hear?

“Maybe ‘Son of a Preacher Man?’ And if they don’t play it, I will!”

Sonic Assembly airs Tuesdays from 10 p.m.–midnight on KNON 89.3 FM.
