From Staff Reports

Both Dallas Pride and Arlington Pride have big celebrations planned for the weekend of June 14. Dallas Pride’s Music Festival kicks off the weekend on Saturday, June 14, and the party continues Sunday, June 15, with the Dallas Pride Parade, both at Fair Park. And on Saturday,

Arlington Pride takes over Leavitt Pavillion in downtown Arlington for what organizers promise will be a Pride party of epic proportions. Here are a few of the details on both (and be sure to check our Plan Your Week calendar on pages 30 and 31 of this issue for more Pride Month activities and events).

Dallas Pride
Organizers announced this week that award-winning actor/writer/producer RJAY, a Dallas native, is the 2025 grand marshal for Dallas Pride. Honorary grand marshal is openly gay All Elite Wrestling star Anthony Bowens. The theme this year for Dallas Pride is “Pride is My Right.”

The party kicks off Saturday with the Music Festival in Fair Park from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., with vendors and activities in the Automobile Building and Big Tex Plaza. Teen Pride and Family Pride are being held from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in Grand Place inside Fair Park.

General admission on Saturday is $10, with tickets available online in advance at DallasPride.org and at the gate. Kids ages 12 and younger are admitted free.

The festival continues Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with the 2025 Dallas Pride Parade stepping off at 2 p.m. to circle the park. Admission to Sunday’s events is free.

Parking will be available at gates 2 and 11, and the DART Green Line drops off right at the front gate. The rideshare staging area is off Robert B. Cullum at Pennsylvania, near Dos Equis Pavillion.

Find more information at DallasPride.org and watch for announcements regarding the entertainment lineup for Saturday’s festival throughout the week.

Arlington Pride
Drag superstar Trixie Mattel headlines this year’s Arlington Pride, joined by drag artists Nymphia Wind, Ra’Jah O’Hara and Ginger Minj and country music singer Brooke Eden. North Texas drag performer Liquor Mini is the emcee for the evening, which will also feature performances by local entertainers from 1851 Club and Club Reflections. And DJ Al Farb will be spinning the music throughout the party.

Organizers this week announced that the Rev. Carol West is being recognized by Arlington Pride with the LGBTQ Visionary Award. The organization is expected to announce other recognitions in the coming days.

Arlington Pride starts at 5 p.m. and continues throughout the evening to 11 p.m. Thanks to sponsorships, tickets are free, but registration is required at ArlingtonPride.com. There are a limited number of paid VIP tickets available. Pets are allowed as long as they remain on a leash, and owners must bring their own bags to pick up after their pets. Any pets that become disruptive will be asked to leave.
