American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and HeadCount announced on Wednesday that queer Grammy Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer and DJ, Durand Bernarr, will bring his popular Rollin’ with the Homies Skate Party to Arlington Skatium tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 17. The event comes on the heels of Tuesday’s National Voter Registration Day Sept. 15 and in celebration of the singer’s birthday.
Durand Bernarr Presents Rollin’ with the Homies: A Birthday Boogie runs from 9-11 p.m. with Bernarr taking over the booth as “DJ TBD aka Bra Coley”, his DJ alter ego. He will bring the groove to the rink alongside skaters as he serenades them.
His DJ Skate Experience originally launched in Dallas with Rollin’ with the Homies Skate Party in June 2024.
“Our voices are the most powerful instruments we have as artists, creators and as citizens. That’s why we’re coming back to where Rollin’ With the Homies all began to encourage fans to make sure their voices are heard in this upcoming election,” Bernarr said in today’s press release. “My birthday wish is for the cousins to come together to have some fun and make a plan to vote. Thank you ASCAP and HeadCount for your partnership and for helping to bring the experience to life.”
HeadCount Executive Director Lucille Wenegieme added: “Young voters don’t care less, they just want a reason to get excited. Artists like Durand are leaders, and we all benefit when they use their platforms to get people excited about participating in democracy. This is also a crucial initiative for ASCAP.

ASCAP Citizen will engage in online and on-the-ground grassroots voter registration mobilization throughout the fall. The campaign will shift its focus to getting out the vote in the weeks leading up to Election Day on Nov. 3.

Fresh off his 2026 Grammy win from February for Best Progressive R&B Album for 2025′ Bloom, Bernarr dropped his fourth studio album, Bernarr, earlier this year, which he is currently supporting on the road with Kehlani.
The two perform tonight at Dos Equis Pavilion.
