Andy Bell’s drops new album produced by Dave Audé ahead of world tour
The name of Andy Bell’s third solo album, Ten Crowns comes at a milestone for the Erasure frontman. What better way to celebrate a big birthday than to drops an album and hit the road? This new album features ten songs of Brit-pop, inspired by the dancefloor and gospel, completed in his 60th year.
“The ten crowns on the tree of life, which is a very powerful [tarot] card to have. And I’d just got my crowns on my teeth done in Miami when I was trying to think about a title,” he joked in the album’s press release.
Ten Crowns came out on Friday, May 2.
The album release follows the singles “Lies So Deep,” with Sarah Potenza, “Heart’s a Liar,” with Debbie Harry, “Don’t Cha Know,” “Dance For Mercy” and “Breaking Thru The Interstellar” which all served as introductions to Ten Crowns with songs co-written and produced by Grammy-winning Dave Audé, who just played BearDance during Texas Bear Round-Up this March.
The day before the album’s release, Bell kicked off his European Tour and will follow through with a North American tour that lands in Dallas on Nov 15 at the Majestic.

Japanese Breakfast releases video for “Winter in LA”
Last month, Japanese Breakfast released the video for its new single from the band’s acclaimed new album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), out now on Dead Oceans.
The video, shot in South Korea, is directed by the band’s bi lead vocalist Michelle Zauner and Peter Ash Lee and produced by SSENSE.
“I made this video with Peter Ash Lee, who also shot the cover of Jubilee. I loved the idea of playing a fussy bride who ruins her own wedding,” Zauner said in the video release announcement.
