Dallas City Councilmen Paul Ridley and Jesse Moreno as well as Cedar Springs Merchants Association board members gathered at the reinstallation of a public art piece that stands along the Strip in front of Alexandre’s.

The piece had been installed in 2021 but was destroyed in 2022 when a car ran over the curb, the art and over another car.

The piece was restored by Dallas artist Fred Villanueva. Details like the seal of the city of Dallas were hand painted and the metal work was hydraulically crimped. The result is a work that looks different from one angle than it does from the other. The two views are seen below.
