Andrew Grande — better known to his fans as porn star Dustin Michaels — died during the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 12, when police in Panama City, Fla., tasered him while attempting to arrest him.
TheAdvocate.com reports that Grande had apparently gotten into an argument with a female friend with whom he was riding. He made her let him get out of the car at a hotel parking lot and then pushed her when she followed him. Someone called the police, and when they arrived, Grande reportedly tried to swallow a plastic bag of marijuana.
What happened next was caught on video by a camera crew with TruTV. The graphic video shows Grande fighting back as officers wrestled him to the ground and tried to handcuff him. It shows one of the officers shooting Grande with a taser gun, and it shows Grande immediately beginning to choke, reaching down his own throat to try and dislodge the bag and frantically trying to signal his predicament to the officers.
The video also shows the officers trying desperately to help, administering the Heimlich manuever and doing anything else they could. But to no avail. Grande was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Or…gee…I don’t know…..since the time between when the police were called to when they actually arrived most likely would have taken, say 10 or so minutes, the idiot could’ve just thrown his stash away? Nearby rain gutter, toilet in the hotel?
If he wasn’t breaking the law in the first place he wouldn’t be dead now.
Note to criminals. If you’re swallowing your weed, eat it without the plastic bag.

Doesn’t matter if his illegal activity contributed to his death or what he he should have done differently, he’s dead, and let’s remember, he was loved by someone, possibly mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, niece, nephew and they are grieving.
This unfortunate person deserves a Darwin Award. His stupidity and bad judgment is 100% responsible for his fate.

Geez, I can’t believe some the nasty comments people left here. I went to middle school with Andrew. I considered him a friend back in school but I never saw him after my family moved while I was in high school. I didn’t know about Andrew’s porn career until his death. In middle school, he was pretty good in athletics and he was an average student. I remember he wasn’t very talkative. He was a good friend to me but I know he could get really angry and violent if some one ticked him off. I still don’t think he was gay. He was the “bad boy” in our class and a lot of the girls really liked him. I remember he was the first guy in our 7th grade class who had full-out sex with another girl…she was in 8th grade. I remember catching him getting head from a girl in the boys bathroom in 8th grade. Unless something changed for him during high school, I think he probably was only “gay for pay”. I know that str8 guys can make a lot more money making a gay porno than a str8 porno.
Yes, Andrew was wrong for pushing the girl and resisting arrest when the police stopped him. Andrew’s death was an accident and it’s Andrew’s own fault. After watching the video of his choking and death, the police man didn’t do the Heimlich correctly….he had his hands wrapped around Andrew’s rib cage when he was trying to compress. The police officer’s hand should have been lower…below the rib cage…so he could compress on Andrew’s diaphram to force the air out. Sorry for writing so much. I still can’t believe I just watched a video of one of my former classmates die. R.I.P. Andrew.
As far as his “resisting arrest,” it looks to me like the guy was already starting to choke and was feeling like he needed his hands to get the shit out his throat. Tragic.
