Texas has gotten more rain since Sept. 1 this year than we got between Jan. 1 and Aug. 31. And the rain is still falling. And while the Trinity River isn’t washing away bridges, like the Llano River did down in Kingsland earlier today, it is already about eight feet above flood level.

Here’s what it looks like from Sylvan Avenue in Dallas. (Some of these are just cool things on or near the bridge that caught my eye.)
