Pointer765682Pointer is a shy, loving fellow waiting for someone to call his own. He is a 1-year-old neutered pitbull/pointer mix who is a quick learner and loves treats.  He weighs about 48 pounds. He has been at Dallas Animal Services since January, so his adoption fee has been waived. Pointer has tested positive for heartworms, which is not uncommon for dogs in our area, but Dallas Animal Services will provide the necessary treatment. Please ask for Pointer, A765682.

Pointer and many other dogs, puppies, cats and kittens are available for adoption from Dallas Animal Services, 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30, just minutes west of Downtown Dallas. The shelter is open Monday-Saturday 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and Sundays noon-5 p.m.  The regular adoption cost is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats, but discounts are offered for older animals and those in the shelter longer than 45 days, and to senior citizens and those who adopt two animals at the same time. All animals are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworms, and cats have been tested for FeLV.
