Shy

Just in time for Halloween, here’s a beautiful, fall-colored kitty. Her name is Shy, but she’s not really. She’s a sweet and gentle 1-year-old shorthaired cat with vivid tortoiseshell markings. She and her kittens were surrendered by her owner, who didn’t want them any longer. Shy is a loving little cat deserving of a home with someone who will love and cherish her.
Shy and many other wonderful dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are available for adoption from the Dallas Animal Services Adoption Center, located at 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30 on the northeast corner. The shelter has new adoption hours and is now open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m.; closed Mondays. The cost to adopt is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats and includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and more. All dogs are negative for heartworms, and cats have been tested for FeLV and FIV. For more information, visit www.DallasAnimalServices.org or call 214-671-0249.
