At just 1 year, 6 months old, Sandy should be growing up in the home she’ll know forever. Instead, she’s still waiting for the family who will see her not just as another dog, but as their dog. At 53 pounds, Sandy is a gentle, silly soul who loves other dogs and thrives on companionship. Outside, she bursts into zoomies, while inside, she settles happily beside her people, soaking up every second of attention. She’s smart, too — proudly showing off her perfect sit and enthusiastic paw shake, especially if treats are involved. She wants routines, laughter, cozy nights, and a place where her toys stay in the same corner because she’s not going anywhere. Right now, Sandy is in foster care, safe but still searching. Make an appointment to meet her online at SPCA.org or by emailing Foster@SPCA.org.

Sandy is one of our Longtime Lovables — she’s been in the shelter more than 60 days — so her adoption fee is $0. She is spayed and microchipped and up to date on her vaccines.
