Zane, a 3-year-old, 54-pound shepherd mix, is basically walking sunshine with a tail. He has perfect black “eyeliner,” a soft tan-and-white coat and white socks, and is the perfect blend of sweet, loyal and delightfully goofy. He’s got just the right amount of playful energy to keep life fun, but not so much that you’ll lose anything on your coffee table in the process. Zane might seem a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a few minutes and a friendly word, and he’s leaning into your legs like you’ve been buddies since kindergarten. He loves people, attention and being part of whatever you’re doing. He’s low maintenance, high affection and best of all, Zane is one of our Longtime Lovables — a pet who has been in the shelter more than 60 days — so his adoption fee is $0.
Zane has been neutered and microchipped and his vaccinations are current. Come meet him between noon and 6 p.m., any day of the week at the SPCA of Texas Dallas Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive. No application or appointment needed.
