Meet Sunny, a handsome 1-year-old shepherd mix with a laughing smile, wagging tail and a personality bright enough to match his name. At 57 pounds, this big boy is still young enough to have plenty of playful energy, but he’s also learning that some of the best moments in life involve slowing down for a good cuddle. And then there are those ears. That one-up, one-down combination gives Sunny an irresistibly goofy expression, especially when paired with his big, happy grin. Despite his youthful enthusiasm, Sunny knows how to settle down after a fun day. Once the walking, exploring and socializing are finished, he’s happy to enjoy some quiet cuddle time with his people. He’s looking for a family who will appreciate his playful spirit, give him opportunities to stay active and, of course, admire his fabulous ears every single day.
Sunny is waiting at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, and is available to meet you from noon-6 p.m. any day of the week. He has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on his vaccines.
