If you’ve been searching for a best friend with a heart as big as Texas, meet Teddy. At 7 years old and weighing a whopping 122 pounds, Teddy is a gentle giant. But don’t let his size fool you. This lovable fellow is all about the simple pleasures in life — cozy naps on soft beds, leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, tasty treats and quality time spent with his favorite humans. He’s left his puppy shenanigans behind and embraced a more relaxed lifestyle, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a calm, loving presence in their life.
As a senior dog, Teddy knows what’s important: kindness, comfort, friendship, and making every day count. He has so much love left to share and is hoping to find someone who will appreciate all the wonderful things that come with welcoming an older dog into their life.
As an SPCA of Texas Senior Sweetheart — a pet age 6 or older — Teddy is free to adopt.
Come meet him at the SPCA of Texas Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, any day of the week between noon and 6 p.m. Teddy has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on his vaccines.
