Texas Woman’s University doctoral student Kim Macpherson is looking for individuals to participate in a research study examining the housing and social experiences of older, “openly out” lesbian-identified women face efforts to “age in place.”
Full participation includes completing screening questions to determine eligibility for the study, which should 3-5 minutes; reading and signing the informed consent form, which should take 5-10 minutes, and completing the aging in place survey questions, which should take 5-20 minutes. Then after completing the online survey, some individuals will be chosen to participate in a video/audio recorded Zoom interview, which will take 46 minutes to an hour to finish.
McPherson stresses that participation in this research is voluntary and that there is a potential risk of loss of confidentiality in all email, downloading, electronic meetings and internet transactions. Participants can withdraw from the research study at any time.
