So Rich Lopez and I literally took a swing past the Occupy Dallas demonstration in front of the Federal Reserve Bank on Pearl Street during the lunch hour, and below is what we saw.
It starts off kinda slow, with us sitting at a red light on the Woodall Rodgers service road, and a lone Ron Paul supporter shouting through a megaphone in our direction. (Talk about getting co-opted!!!)
But hang in there because things get pretty intense as we make the turn onto Pearl and a Dallas police officer, noticing Rich with the Flip camera in the passenger seat, yells, “Let’s go! Let’s go!”
As you can see, there was a fairly solid line of demonstrators behind the barricades facing Pearl for an entire block, and when we complied with their demands to blow the horn, there was quite a response.
Consider Dallas occupied.
yeah ron paul is scary as well
awesome post thanks! btw.
its exciting whats wgoing on. good job getting out there a little.
RON PAUL 2012! SAY NO TO THE STATUS QUO. Time for REAL CHANGE, REAL politicians, and REAL representation in DC.
Why do you find Ron Paul scary?
He merely espouses a return to 100% Constitutional gov because that’s what allowed this nation to become great to begin with.
It’s only been in the past several decades they mostly abandoned those principles to instead treat the people as debt slaves. If you like the idea of freedom, Ron Paul is your man.
Joe’s been drinking the kool aid.
I see one Ron Paul guy making a lot of sense, and a herd of others chanting nonsense.
MIke’s been drinking the anti-freeze.
Ron Paul has more support from the troops than Obama. He also has more support than all the other republicans COMBINED. Guess our troops like Kool-Aid as well…

@mike- you got it backwards guy, the majority of America are drunk on the Kool-Aid. But thankfully many are starting to sober up. Educate yourself on the issues and you may sober up too.
Ron Paul supporter co-opting the protest? It was Ron Paul and his supporters who have been screaming about the negative effects of corporatism on this country for years. It took a major financial crisis for many of the sheep to finally wake up. And while many have woken up, several of the newly awaken are still under the impression that big government is the solution to the problem (ie the Occupy Wall St astroturf with their union supporters). The Ron Paul people understand that government is not only complicit, but actually supplies the force necessary for the Washington/Wall St alliance to pilfer the private wealth of US citizens. So Ron Paul and his followers aren’t co-opting the movement, they are the movement. Ron Paul 2012!
LOL.
I love all the CIA disinformation comments. “Ron paul is a crazy kook!” Not ONCE, have any of these people that cry “wolf” shown any actuall hardcore evidence to proove that he is crazy. So again, there is only a few possibilites left for “who” these people actually are. And I say they are CIA disinformation agents. Look that term up on google. Ron Paul supporters are very very efficient with google and other search engines, as they actually do their homework.
Oh yeah, and remember everyone, vote vertebrate in 2012, vote Ron Paul.
Ron Paul or revolution!
Ron Paul understands what the Occupiers are angry about, and he’s been saying many of the same things for decades. Unfortunately, they don’t understand the roots of the problems or how to solve them. He needs to get in there and point them in the right direction before they are completely taken over by the same old, status quo corrupt Republocrat politicians, “union” criminals, and anti-human rights environmentalists.
This is someone we should all be able to support. We should fight so his fervent beliefs and actions can help us.
Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate of recent decades who is not controlled by corporate money.
How haven’t more “Occupy” protesters realized it?
How is Ron Paul scary? Because he is the only man is telling Americans the truth rather than spewing BS scripted lines. RON PAUL 2012
You got it all wrong. Ron Paul is not associated with Occupy Dallas. As a matter of fact we are not associated with any particular organization, group, politician party or whoever else might be interested in pushing their particular agenda. This is by design. I am not going to get into ‘What do we want’ as this is beyond the scope of my comment; just wanted to make sure everybody understands that Ron Paul is neither associated nor endorsed by Occupy Dallas.
is there going to be anything here in fort worth or will be go to dallas on oct 15?
Ron Paul believes that someone who find him/herself in a coma without health insurance rolled the dice and took their chances. He would rather let that person die than give him/her the right every citizen of the United States should have: the right to wellness. Yes, I find that scary.
