Gregory Warren Kennon, lovingly known as Greg or “Gogi,” passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 2, 2024, with his beloved partner Bill by his side.

Born on June 12, 1961, in Cleburne, Greg brought kindness and warmth to everyone around him. He graduated from Cleburne High in 1979 and, after high school, held various positions in the automotive field. In 1997 Greg eventually partnered with his brother Johnny to start GMC Leasing in Arlington. Several years later, they relocated the business to Bedford.
Greg’s dedication and great, often dry, sense of humor endeared him to countless customers that did business with GMC Leasing. He had a knack for making friends with anyone he met and touched the lives of many.
His kindness, compassion, his good humor, wit and charm will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Greg loved dogs and, in lieu of flowers, his family invites donations to the ASPCA.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Kennon. He is survived by his devoted partner Bill De Hoyos; his mother Jackie Smith Wood; brothers and sisters-in-law Johnny and Deda Kennon, Rick J. and AnnMarie Kennon and Mike and Shannon Kennon.
Greg also leaves behind an extended family and many friends who loved him dearly.
