Kimberly Michele Pierce of Houston passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 55.
Born Aug. 15, 1969, to Michael L. Pierce and Patricia A. Pierce, Kim was a loving spirit with a kind and generous heart who touched everyone who knew her. She was a child at heart — empathetic, compassionate and full of warmth. She loved and cared deeply for her family and friends and was a devoted pup-mom to her dogs.

Kim was known for her deep love for her family, her loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys and the joy she found in the simple beauty of the beach. Music was more than a pastime for Kim, it was her therapy, her solace and her constant companion through life’s ups and downs.

Kim lived in Dallas from 1992 into the early 2000s before moving back to Houston, and she had many good friends here. She lived in the Gayborhood, within walking distance of her favorite hangout, Jugs, where she was known as one of Connie McLain’s porch kids. She loved when her little sister, Regina Lynn, would visit and she could introduce her sister to Connie and her other friends.

Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia A. Pierce, and her grandparents, Thomas and Meta Pierce.

She is survived by her father, Michael L. Pierce, and his wife, Cheryl Pierce; her sisters, Regina Lyn Pierce and her spouse, Paula Sopithakul of Dallas; Tiffini Nicole LaRue and her husband, Thomas LaRue; and Shawn Jones and her husband, Stacey Jones. Kim’s cherished nieces and nephew include Brittney LaRue; Katie Leathers and her husband, Landon; Kayla Kitchens and her husband, Nathan; and Cody LaRue and his wife, Danielle.
She is also survived by her aunts, Ann I. Pierce and Elizabeth Autem and her husband, Joe Autem, along with many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend, Kim will be remembered for the love she gave and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by all who knew and loved her deeply.

A private service was held by the family to honor her life, with arrangements in the care of Metcalf Funeral Directors. Friends who wish to honor her memory are asked to do so by donating in her name to the SPCA of North Texas online at SPCA.org.
