Delwin Lee Nelson, 85, of Euless passed away Jan. 17, 2019.
Delwin was born in Hastings, Neb., on Feb. 27, 1933, to Edwin and Evelyn Nelson. He graduated from the University of Nebraska and worked for the JCPenney Company for 42 years. He was an active member of his church, Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, and cherished his friendships there. He enjoyed many years of active volunteering at the DFW Airport and the AIDS Outreach Center in Fort Worth.
Delwin was preceded in death by his partner and best friend, Arwin Bailey; his brother Gary, and his granddaughter Margaret Grace.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Nancy Nelson of Bedford; Karen Rietz and son-in-law Thomas of Iowa City, Iowa; granddaughters Leah and Linnea Rietz; sister-in-law Jenifer Nelson; niece Stephanie Caudy; nephew Samuel
