Oak Lawn Live Music and Arts Festival, the newest big thing to hit the Gayborhood, is less than a month away, and organizers today announced the fabulous final line-up of entertainment they have on tap.
Headliner for the festival is Daya (“Hideaway,” “Sit Still, Look Pretty”), with The Cowgays, Cure for Paranoia and Cain Culto also heading to the festival. And those performers are shored up by an impressive list of stellar talent that includes Dan Slater, Kameron Ross, Dezi 5 & The Tailgaters, Drew G, EMSKI, DJ Memoz, Anton Shaw & the Bad Habits, Oak Lawn Band and Women’s Chorus of Dallas.
Oak Lawn Live, presented by Cedar Springs Merchants Association and Pride in Dallas, is set for Saturday, Sept. 19 — the day before Pride in Dallas’ annual Pride Parade on Cedar Springs Road — from noon to 10 p.m. It will cover four blocks along the Cedar Springs Strip and will include three stages for entertainment along with food, visual art, vendors and more. It was created, organizers say, to allow visitors to “experience the people, businesses and creative spirit that make this neighborhood unlike anywhere else in the city.”
This is an event for ages 18 and older, and a $20 donation is suggested for entry.
