Music has the power to unite, inspire, and uplift — and for over four decades, the Oak Lawn Band has been a beacon of harmony for Dallas’s LGBTQ and ally community. This year, the band is taking its mission to greater heights with the Rainbow Rhapsody Gala, a black-tie fundraising event hosted by local drag superstar, Cassie Nova, and featuring nine of the band’s chamber groups in a spectacular showcase of the music, resilience, and artistic expression that define the LGBTQ community. The gala is set to take place on March 6 at the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park.

Through the Rainbow Rhapsody Gala, we’re not just performing — we’re building a space where music amplifies our community’s voice, fosters belonging, and celebrates the incredible diversity of North Texas,’ said Ryan Goodrich, president of Oak Lawn Band. “This evening will not only showcase the incredible talent within our band but also reinforce the importance of inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated.”
