There seems to be a lot of confusion on what Judge Walker has actually said in his order regarding the stay.
I am watching video online of activists in California saying the stay is lifted and encouraging people to go get their licenses and get married. But some people are saying online that the stay is lifted, but Prop 8 remains in effect until Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m.
And who knows if the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will issue a second stay, leaving Prop 8 in effect while the case makes its way through the appeals process.
