Reuters is reporting that Merce Cunningham, the influence gay choreographer and dancer, has died. He was 90.
Cunningham lived for nearly 50 years with his partner, avant garde composer John Cage, until Cage’s death in 1992. Together, they explored radical new ideas about music and dance.
Cunningham was also closely associated with gay Texas-born artist Robert Rauschenberg, who died last year at 82.
