TYLER, Texas — Handmade jewelry, fresh candy and a sense of belonging will be on display Sept. 13 when the Tyler Area Gays (TAG+) host their fall Rainbow Market at Bergfeld Park.
The event runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with vendors setting up an hour before opening.
Admission is free, and the event open to all ages.
The Rainbow Market, a staple in Tyler’s LGBTQ community, brings together queer-led businesses, nonprofits and allies to sell goods, share resources and build connections. Nonprofit vendor fees are set at $20, while regular vendor spots are $45.
All fees go to Tyler Area Gays, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Jay Hilburn, chair of Tyler Area Gays, said the event not only supports local small businesses but also helps chip away at stereotypes in East Texas by giving residents a chance to interact with queer people.
The market takes place on the second Saturday of each month and has become known as both a shopping stop and a community hub. Parking is free at the venue, Bergfeld Park, at 1510 South College Avenue.
More details, including vendor sign-up information, are available at TylerAreaGays.com/Rainbow-Market.
