I was hoping to talk to Dallas activist Mark Reed today after he’s released from jail for chaining himself to the White House fence on Sunday, but it looks like that won’t be happening until at least 2 p.m. Eastern. From Twitter:
UPDATE, 3:30 p.m. Central: GetEQUAL reports that the six were released this afternoon with $100 fines.

Like Barney Frank said, these “immature and tacky” publicity stunts don’t “change any minds or votes.” Thankfully, they don’t get any media attention, either.
There is nothing courageous about GetEqual’s irritating behavior. It is very easy to COMPLAIN, it is a lot more work to actually accomplish something. We need results, not attention. We need people to join us, not laugh at us.
GetEqual, your “fifteen minutes” is up. Please stop.
