Last summer, we wrote about how Marco Rodriguez, co-founder of Martice Productions (which specialized in gay-Latino comedies), was shuttering the troupe to pursue other ventures. Here’s one: Rodriguez has written a new play, La Luz de un Cigarillo, in the New York Dominican vernacular of Spanish. Sounds kinda like the hit Broadway musical In the Heights, which is fine by us. Though we might not get to see it: I runs for one performance only on Feb. 2 at La Tea Theater .. in New York City! Congrats, Marco.
