Arts Collaboration AIDS Benefit
Concert scheduled at TCU
The Texas Christian University Arts Collaboration AIDS Benefit Concert will be held Friday at 8 p.m. in the Studio B Theater of the Ballet and Modern Dance Building, located at the corner of University Drive and West Berry Street in Fort Worth.
The suggested donation at the door is $5.
The AIDS Outreach Center and the Chi Tau Epsilon dance honor society at the university are co-sponsoring the event, which will include music, dance, theater and visual arts performances.
Georgia pastor to be guest preacher
at Cathedral of Hope on Sunday
The Rev. Kenneth Le Samuel, pastor of Victory for the World Church in Stone Mountain, Ga., will be the guest preacher for the morning worship services Sunday at Cathedral of Hope. Victory for the World Church is the second-largest United Church of Christ congregation.
Samuel was ordained and licensed to preach at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga., under the Rev. Joseph L. Roberts Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Martin Luther King Sr., pastor emeritus.
He is active in social causes including the United Negro College Fund and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Victory Church, organized by Samuel in 1987, is dually aligned as an independent Baptist church that is affiliated with the United Church of Christ.
The church is Baptist in its adherence to the ordinances of the Baptist faith baptism by immersion and holy communion and United Church of Christ in its theological commitment to social justice and the radically inclusive love of Jesus Christ.
Recruit, pledge party for AIDS
Walk Tarrant County is Monday
A recruit and pledge party for potential participants in the 2006 AIDS Walk Tarrant County will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at La Familia Mexican Restaurant, 841 Foch St. in Fort Worth.
The event provides an opportunity for those interested in participating in the walk to meet and socialize with other walkers. Staff and volunteers for the event will be on hand to answer questions about the annual event. The party includes free appetizers, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
2006 AIDS Walk Tarrant County will be held April 2, beginning at Texas Christian University’s “Frog Alley.”

Mandatory meeting for Black Tie
beneficiary applicants is Tuesday.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Black Tie Dinner board will hold a mandatory orientation meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday for organizations interested in becoming beneficiaries of the 2006 dinner.
The meeting is scheduled at the Seminar Theater of the Adams Mark Hotel, 600 North Olive St.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation receives half the proceeds from each dinner. The other half is split among up to 20 local organizations. Last year, $1.24 million was handed out to national and local beneficiaries.

Gay Cowtown Rodeo rides
into Fort Worth in March
The 2006 Cowtown Rodeo, an IGRA Rodeo Series event, will be held March 3-5 in the W.R. Watt Arena at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth. The rodeo is presented by the Texas Gay Rodeo Association.
Rodeo competition begins at 9 a.m. on March 4-5. After a pause for the grand entry, at about noon on both days, competition resumes at 1 p.m. For details, visit the TGRA website (www.texasgayrodeo.org).
Psychiatrist, editor of bisexual
publication to speak at UNT
Dr. Fritz Klein, a psychiatrist and one of the leading researchers on bisexuality, will speak March 9 at the University of North Texas.

North Texas GLBT Chamber is
host for LGBT Business Summit
The North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce will be the host organization for the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce’s 2006 Mountain and Southwestern LGBT Business Summit, set for March 10-12 at the Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas.
