J.W. Richard from Mandrake Society Radio is hosting the first-ever (as far as we know) local LGBT blogger Tweet-up tomorrow night. Think of it as a sort of mini-conference of local bloggers. He says on his Facebook invite, “Fellow video, audio, photo, or text bloggers, podcasters, and those interested, let’s meet up! Snacks provided. Free wi-fi courtesy of It’s A Grind. For those who are LGBT or whose subject matter is LGBT community-related.”
We discussed this during my Hint of Mint days about the idea of a blogger collective to share ideas and resources. Looks like it’s finally come to fruition thanks to Richard’s persistence. Click the invite to RSVP or contact Richard via his site. If you have trouble with the direct link like I did, head here and then search “gay blogger tweetup.” And do your research on finding It’s A Grind. It can be tricky.
I plan to be there. Snacks provided? Heck yeah.
why can’t this be at an ultra Lounge? Coffee is just so domestic. If im going to be Tweeting i need to be wearing my shoes by Gucci, eating sushi, and pretending like I’m Susan Lucci at Lift Lounge. Plus they have bottle service!
Because it’s no fun getting giddy with the liquor and then spilling it all over the laptops. Not cool. However, I was alerted to the fact that Monica’s is three blocks away and serve cheap margaritas on Wednesday nights. IJS.
Hey, nothing says we can’t meet at It’s A Grind then roll to Monica’s afterwards. Perhaps Ultra Lounge can be a future after party. Geeks groove, too!
