Jones misinformed on material

Arnold Wayne Jones was kind enough to write a review of our production of “Deathtrap,” but unfortunately he misled your readership because he was misinformed about the material he was reviewing.

He was understandably upset by what he perceived as an omission by our theater in the show. In fact, the omission he referred to is not in the script at all, but appears in the film version of the play. While it is true that other theatres do add a kiss to the material, it does not appear anywhere in the script, and all we did was produce it as written.

By the way, the senior pastor of Arapaho United Methodist Church (which does not censor or otherwise influence our production choices or content) is conducting a pastor’s series class on homosexuality, promoting tolerance and acceptance, not hate and fear. The class began Feb. 23 and continues to March 16. If you care to promote that event (7-8 p.m. on Thursday nights), you could let your readership know here is another place for them in the Christian community.

We welcome letters from readers. Shorter letters are more likely to be printed, as are those that address only a single topic. On some weeks we receive more letters than we can print. In that case, we print a representative sample. Letters are subject to editing for length and clarity, but we attempt to maintain the writer’s substance and tone. Include your home address and a daytime phone number for verification. Send letters to the senior editor, preferably by e-mail (editor@dallasvoice.com). Letters also may be faxed (214-969-7271) or mailed (Dallas Voice, 4145 Travis St., Third Floor, Dallas, TX 72504). online for mobiстоимость услуги оптимизации сайтов
