Everybody knows that the Friday after Thanksgiving — Black Friday — is the day you stand in line at the malls or the “big box” retail stores to try and get a good deal on some holiday gifts.
But let’s make every day “Shop Local Day.” And if you are looking for a some fabulous new jewelry for that fabulous person in your life, then Haus of Garçons has some options for you. Check it out and you are not just shopping local, you’ll be keeping it in the (rainbow) family, too.

Nicholas Rejcek (he/him) is the founder and designer for Dallas-based jewelry line Haus of Garçons. Touting inclusivity, his jewelry is genderless, androgynous and simply, cool.
If gender is a construct, Rejcek is doing his part to shatter old notions to reconcile gender into full inclusivity that blurs the lines through his unique eye with quality and craftsmanship.
Rejcek recently took a few minutes to highlight his style and his work for Dallas Voice.
Getting into jewelry design: I took a soldering class when I was 19 years old, and that is what started the love for sterling silver (925) that blossomed into jewelry design.
Describing his line: Modern with a touch of classic. I have edgy pieces but also have essential petite pieces.

Big changes: I gave my two-weeks’ notice as of Nov. 13. I am leaving my full-time job at Hermès to focus on the jewelry business, my partner and my family. I was with Hermès Dallas for eight years as a sales specialist.
Feedback: I have had amazing feedback and returning clients. In my three years of business, I have not advertised, only word of mouth along with my clients reposting and tagging my brand on Instagram/social media platforms.
The big picture: Jewelry is gender neutral, and when you are wearing it you are expressing yourself.
