Revry, the world’s first LGBTQ+ streaming platform, will debut its new original series I’m Dead, on June 7. The 12-episode, half-hour series will air weekly. The season also features performances from Drag Race All-Star’s Salina EsTitties, Percy Rustomji, Kaycee Conlee, Lady Bushra, Marval A. Rex and Revry’s King of Drag season 1 standout, Pressure K.
Directed by Marie Alyse Rodriguez and produced by Purple Intuition, I’m Dead blends stand-up, reality-style confessionals and storytelling into a new comedy format. Filmed over two nights at The Cat’s Crawl in Los Angeles, the lineup of emerging and established queer comedians—including veteran comic Rustomji (and executive producer)—gives sharp focus to big queer laughs.
“With I’m Dead, we ironically set out to make the most alive comedy show we could,” Revry Chief Creative Officer and co-founder and show co-creator Christopher Rodriguez said in Tuesday’s press release. “Every single comic on our stage brings a genuine and genuinely brilliant take on the queer experience. And one that the world has yet to see. It’s weird, it’s loud, and it’s honest—and that’s exactly why it matters.”
Each episode centers on a theme with the talent comedians giving their own perspectives on such issues as family, dating and more.
Following the footsteps of Revry’s breakout King of Drag — which premieres its second season this September — Revry expand its slate of original programming with I’m Dead, building on its mission to deliver refreshing, distinct content across its free, global, ad-supported streaming platform.
