The Cedar Springs Merchants Association has had some bad luck with the weather this year. CSMA President Scott Whittall told me recently that it rained on the first Wednesday of the month, when retailers on the strip host their First Wednesday event, three consecutive times this summer. Well it doesn’t look like their luck will improve much for tonight’s holiday installment of First Wednesday, with forecasts calling for a low of 34 and a freeze warning overnight in some areas. But here’s the good news: It’s not supposed to rain or snow, and with the purchase of a $5 glass, you can stay warm with free wine and hot cider from participating merchants all night long. Santa Claus will of course be on hand, and there will be a Christmas tree lighting at 8 p.m., as well as performances by the Oak Lawn Band, the Turtle Creek Chorale and Voice of Pride winners. This month’s Wednesday night movie, “White Christmas,” will be shown on the patio of TMC beginning at 8 p.m. Also, if you need to warm up afterward, head on down to Dish at ilume. Dish will be hosting a private grand opening party but will reopen to the public at 10 p.m. with DJ Scene from Las Vegas.siteтендер продвижение сайта
