I often wonder if anything I write gets read — much less has an effect. But, in the last couple of weeks, I’ve gotten confirmation: They are reading, and they are disagreeing!

It’s no secret that I am progressive in my politics and my religion. I often write about progressive topics here and in my social media accounts. I am used to folks disagreeing with me; after all, it’s a free country — at least for now.

But, until now, I have never gotten unsolicited trolls attacking me on social media and through messaging. I guess I have reached critical mass when it comes to my effect.
From what I can tell these attacks are not coming from “friends” on Facebook or Instagram but from complete strangers, most of whom do not have profiles or ways to see who they are.

They have all the earmarks of a troll farm, and my guess is it’s in Russia. The attacks started just a couple of weeks after I posted some writings postulating that the current occupant of the White House is either a Russian operative or, more likely, a stooge. His allegiance to Putin and sudden shunning of our long-time international partners was the first clue.

Every NATO country is supportive of Ukraine in its struggle against the unprovoked invasion by Russia — every NATO country, that is, except the United States.

Only the U.S. is buying the lie that Putin was somehow threatened by Ukraine. The recent meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House was the final bit of proof for me.

Since then, I have relentlessly criticized the current administration and its policies. And that’s when the trolls started popping up, a half dozen or so a day.

They are not trying to engage me! They just want to annoy me. And I take great joy in blocking them as fast as they appear.

I suspect I am not the only one who is getting this kind of attention.

Meanwhile, the DOGE has been doing its part to tear down our country’s infrastructure in the name of “efficiency.” Its latest move was cancelling the lease of the NOAA Radar Center in Oklahoma.

For those unfamiliar with what NOAA does: They track and forecast tornadoes. You know, those storms that start to occur this time of year and destroy thousands of homes and businesses and, without sufficient warning, kill lots of people.

It makes sense doesn’t it? It does if you are a foreign power trying to destabilize and destroy a country, first thing to do is remove your target’s ability to protect its citizens against natural disasters and let nature take its course.

Having lived through a couple of tornadoes, I certainly want those warnings and that radar center staffed with experts much more than I want cheaper eggs.

So, I am testing the waters here. If these kinds of opinions make too much sense, and if the foreign backers of the current administration are trying to silence or discredit me, my troll numbers should increase soon. I’ll let you know what happens.

In the meantime, keep up the resistance and refuse to believe this is business as usual.

Backing Richard Grenell

I have always admired Richard Grenell for his tireless dedication, first as the former acting director of national intelligence and now as a special missions envoy in the Trump administration.

My meeting with Richard in Arizona was a transformative experience. He inspired me and fellow Log Cabin board members eager to develop our Log Cabin Republicans chapter in Dallas. His encouragement was pivotal; without his support, we might not have found the motivation to establish our chapter, which has since flourished, receiving fantastic feedback from the community.

Richard’s mentorship has been invaluable in my journey within the Republican Party. His insights and guidance have not only helped me grow personally but have also strengthened our chapter’s mission. I appreciate his willingness to work closely with us and his commitment to supporting our initiatives.

As we move forward, we at Log Cabin Dallas are dedicated to backing him in any way possible, ensuring that his vision aligns with our goals.

Richard’s unwavering support and leadership have made a significant impact, and I look forward to continuing this fruitful partnership. His contributions are vital to our success and the broader goals of the Republican Party.

  1. Hardy’s hypothesis about NOAA is the only logical conclusion. Create chaos, then conquer. The bogus shutdowns are usually for Musk’s personal financial benefit, but even he can’t buy the weather.

  2. This article is rife with misinformation and conspiracy theories. The writer falsely claims the U.S. is ignoring NATO and supporting Russia, relying on baseless accusations without credible evidence. The insinuation that the government is intentionally weakening the country’s infrastructure to destabilize it is a prime example of #Fefarmongering and #gaslighting. It misleads readers into thinking there’s a coordinated attack against them, when in reality, it’s just divisive rhetoric designed to foster distrust. #rhetoricisjustthatitsrhetoric —- SHAMEFUL
