Don’t let this guy off so easily.
Not only did he note that being GLBT is not “Not God’s Best”
He goes on to say that we are possibly a “mistake” made by God
Hello????
Being a gay Christian I find so many holes in Joel’s theology. The fact that he believes in what the Bible teaches is not a problem at all to me. The problem is that the Bible also teaches that god doesn’t make mistakes. So how can he imfatically believe that gays aren’t God’s best and that we are mistakes if he doesn’t believe that God doesn’t make mistakes?
I do respect his right to believe anything he desires to believe though as we live in a democracy. I don’t personally feel that boycotting and protesting religion furthers the gay cause. We should be demanding that the government actually separate church and state so that the views of religions aren’t reflected in civil law since we don’t live under theocratic rule. It’s impossible for all to be treated equally as long as religion shapes the rule of law as most religious doctrines can be used to legitimize discrimination. REMEMBER the english version of the Bible was translated into english by those who were in power at the time. I’m a believer in Jesus, just not the Jesus who only sacrificed for the perfect chosen few. His purpose was to be the sacrifice for ALL regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality etc. That’s precisely why Jesus spent his years on Earth talking to those who were rejected by religious society.
I don’t have any problems with what he wants to believe as long as he doesn’t impose his beliefs on my civil rights. That’s when we’re gonna have a problem.
Well, well, he seems to getting a little stronger with that message. He is good at beating around the bush hoping not to offend anyone.
God’s best? I am a gay Christian and I am living God’s plan for me. I am satisfied with who I am and when I get to Heaven, God will say, “Well done, my child.” When Joel gets to Heaven, God will say, “Son could you not see that everyone is my children and in order for them to get to Heaven, I said, ‘whosoever believes in Me will not perish but have eternal life’?” It is so simple! Jesus did not say, “with these exceptions…..”
EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!
Find out MCC’s interpretation of scripture at http://www.whywouldwe.org
Why do you find this so fancinating he preach’s for money. He Last week Orpha had HIV positive women in disguse on her show and gave out false HIV information. It was much more inflaming. She continued the stigma that HIV is to be ashamed of and yet we should still get tested. The most wrong information episode about HIV I have ever seen by anyone.
He is a spiritual skank. If there is a hell, he’ll be spanking monkeys with Falwell.
He claims to allow gays in his church and not discriminate.
Maybe we should organization a bunch of gays to go to his church holding hands and see how accepting he really is?
Maybe have a gay couple apply to get married in his church and see if he allows it or not?
We should pray for him.
All religion should be banned. It does nothing but oppress those that are not like them, and creates nothing but suffering and misery. BTW… Osteen and his trophy wife are nothing but full of crap.
HAHA! Love the comment Jack E. You rock! Personally, I believe Joel runs a business, not a church.

Again…just like Robert Jefrees at the First Baptist Church preaching “Gay is not Okay”… these are guys that, to me, are obviously gay. I’m just speaking from what my gut tells me.
These men, along with many others, have to preach negative gay stuff so everyone won’t think they are. “How could they be gay if they’re preaching so hard against it?”
That’s just my 2-cents worth. Give it time…and just like all the Ted Haggarts of the world, they will be exposed through their own words and actions.
I actually find it even more interesting that, at least in this clip, the panel’s conservatives Elizabeth and Sherri don’t really have anything to say other than “it’s a conundrum.” It’s like they’re trying to give the guy a way out of answering the question without actually having to say whether they agree or disagree with him.
And on a completely petty note, Joel’s kindergarten teacher style of talking is so creepy (and condescending) to me.
Friends, let me just say that the term “GAY CHRISTIAN” is an oxy-moron. There is no such thing. The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is an abomination, and it goes against God’s creation of man and woman to be together. Like any sin, Jesus made a way for us to overcome and be free of it, by what He did on the cross. There are several ministries out there that help people who struggle with same sex attraction. I personally know people who have been delivered of it. But, first you must recognize that homosexuality is sin, and be willing to repent of it. Otherwise there is no forgiveness of sin. If we truly love the lost, we will tell them Truth.
