Human Rights Campaign has released its 2018 Hospital Equality Index, and Parkland Hospital is the only hospital in North Texas to receive a perfect score.
Most Dallas hospitals and all Fort Worth hospitals refused to participate, but HRC researched the major institutions to find at least patient nondiscrimination, visitor nondiscrimination and employment nondiscrimination policies on hospital websites. In Dallas, Medical City fares the best and Methodist Hospital the worst, based on website research.
