Above is video of the Houston megachurch pastor’s latest remarks, which are scheduled to air tonight on CNN. And below is a press release that just came across from the Human Rights Campaign:
HRC to Joel Osteen: Use Your Pulpit for Good, Not Hate
Televangelist’s Hateful Remarks Before a National Audience are Dangerous
WASHINGTON – The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest civil rights organization dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality, today called on Joel Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, TX and well-known evangelical preacher with a syndicated television following of over 7 million viewers, to immediate apologize for his remarks on national television that “the Scripture shows that [homosexuality] is a sin.” Osteen made the remarks on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight. The full show will air tonight.
“It’s a real shame that someone of Joel Osteen’s prominence and life experiences would repeat this tired and dangerous statement. It furthers ignorance and discrimination by some Americans and adds a burden to those already struggling to accept their sexual orientation or gender identity,” said HRC President Joe Solmonese. “One would hope Mr. Osteen would use his pulpit, with an audience of over 7 million people, to tell all human beings that they are loved just the way they are. Instead he chose to send a dangerous and irresponsible message.”
The American Psychological Association and American Psychiatric Association have both concluded that same-sex attraction is normal.
Mr. Osteen’s position does not reflect the views of many religious leaders and denominations. Mainline denominations such at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and the Episcopal Church, see God’s divine presence working across the spectrum of human sexuality. Many Baptists also dispute Mr. Osteen’s stance.
“Joel Osteen is certainly entitled to his opinion, but America needs to know that he doesn’t speak for all Christians, he doesn’t even speak for all Baptists,” said Rev. Dr. Miguel de la Torre, a Baptist minister and member of the HRC Religion Council. “As a Southern Baptist and an ethicist I believe that we can’t follow Jesus’ commandment to love God and our neighbor as our self if we start with the premise that homosexuality is sinful. Starting with the belief that people are sinful doesn’t allow us to get to know them, let alone love them.”
HRC encourages young Baptists who are struggling with their identity to contact the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists (AWAB) for resources on the church and sexuality. AWAB’s website is https://www.wabaptists.org/. AWAB partnered with the Human Rights Campaign in 2010 to honor several Washington, DC area Baptist pastors who were instrumental in passing marriage equality legislation in the District of Columbia.
This is why this is the most BS Newspapers in town. Compare the Morning News. Did he say that he hated Gays? No, all of u Gay People just jump to conclusions. Yep, maybe a other slow news day today. Yep,
BIG NOTE TO HRC: As ministers of this great gospel of Jesus Christ, we are not hating ANY individual. We can not stand by their lifestyle. It goes against the word of God. Anything that goes against God’s word is a SIN therefore CAN NOT be painted in any other fashion. Jesus loves the sinner BUT hates the SIN!!! Just because it’s acceptable to society does NOT mean its acceptable to GOD!!! WHO DETERMINES THIS! Not the homosexual, not the pastors or ministers BUT GOD ALREADY ESTABLISHED IT IN HIS WORD!!
preppystudent should change his name to idiotstudent.
Pastor Eric Aguirre is many things. A man of God is not one of them.
One only needs to read his words to understand that.
I would agree with the Pastor. He was not telling people that Gay are bad, he is not that kind of person.
Now that you’ve spoken with Mr. Osteen, check out what I believe is the truth of God . based on the work of the mystic Meher Baba.
Bill, I don’t know if ur Gay or not, but thoses people make me wanna believe in my opinions on Gay people right now and how they have shaped me.
“And whenever you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they will be seen by people. I tell you with certainty, they have their full reward!”
I just thought I would provide this for the benefit of Pastor Eric, since he clearly hasn’t read his full Bible.
Joel Osteen needs to step down as a minister. He’s a disgrace. He can’t even back up what he believes by actually quoteing a scripture from the Bible. Don’t give your opinion. It’s not your opinion. It’s God’s word.
The real issues is not Joel Osteen homophobia–he’s not nearly as bad as the majority of pastors in this country. The real issue is the strong fundamentalist streak that runs through contemporary American religion. That allows someone say, “It’s in the Bible…it’s God’s word,” and everyone nods in agreement. The New Testament also says that women shouldn’t speak in church–clearly this a book that comes from a very different time than our own. The real ethical advance of the 20th century was the recognition that a dominant culture had no right to abuse or exploit people who had less political power. Thus, we recognized the evils of colonialism, racism, sexism and homophobia. Most religions are still struggling to incorporate this central insight. The Bible, particularly the Sermon on the Mount, hints at this kind of worldview, but in large part, the Bible’s perspective is clearly that of a primitive, agrarian and barbarous society. Fundamentalist religions may thrive for a while, particularly during periods of social and economic turmoil, but they will increasingly seem out of step with the ethics our time. The world has changed significantly–women, people of color and gay people refuse to think of themselves as inferior subjects. Until religious leaders acknowledge the flaws of the Bible–the material, political and historical biases of the book–they should not be taken seriously.
We should never be afraid to explain sin. We should never excuse sin. Homosexuality, is a sin as is many other sins. Sin leads to death. Jesus is the only way to keep us from eternal death and judgement. Come to Jesus and receive his gift of life and break the bondage of sin in your life forever.
MR. Piers Morgan you are of the world ok, God is of SPIRT to understand anything of the bible you need to read it . Let me help you start reading 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9. Through 11 and tell your friends . Love Daniel
MR. Piers Morgan you are of the world ok, God is of SPIRT to understand anything of the bible you need to read it . Let me help you, start reading 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9. Through 11 and tell your friends . Love Daniel
OK I watched the same interview and Pastor Osteen did not say anything out of line. Pastor Eric is right! We can’t choose what part of Gods words we want to live by, we have to except all of his words.Oh and here are vereses in the Bible that clearly states how go fells about the subject… •Lev. 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”1
•Lev. 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them”
•1 Cor. 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
•Rom. 1:26-28, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”
Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman
Judy, just why do you think Joel Osteen is a disgrace?? He does NOT need to step down as a minister. He is a good man and lives his life for the Lord. Joel DID NOT slam gay community period! He simply stated that according to the Bible that it is a sin and according to God’s word it IS a sin. From what I see Joel does NOT judge ANYONE! He was honest and forthright stating that he simply does not understand the gay community thing. Many, many people don’t understand yet they judge people that are gay.
And before anyone that reads this bashes me I will tell you straight up that I am “bi”.
Jesus said “love one another, as I have loved you”. He did NOT add “unless they are gay”!! And are we not also told “Judge not, lest ye be judged”? There are so many sins and I was taught that all sins are the same in the eyes of the Lord. I am a heterosexual Christian woman and I will be very happy to see my gay and lesbian friends in Heaven someday…..that is, IF I get in! 🙂
The saddest part of this entire debate is the number of people that cling to an absurd fairy tale (I couldnt resist) in an attempt to give life some sort of meaning. Preppystudent, sandangel, Laura Jackson and those like them are sad and pathetic people whose lives are so meaningless and shallow that they must look to an external source to justify thieir existance.
Somebody isn’t going to get invited to city hall anymore and might just have the rent on his city-owned facility that he uses as a church raised
@Laura Jackson-thank you for pointing out those scriptures so i can say this to you…what avout toher parts of lev. where it states that anyone who is wearing fabric of dual cloth (eg. cotton/polyester blend) is an abomination. Hope you dont eat shrimp, crab, lobster, etc… because thats an abomination too. As far as Romans it says unnatural….it does not say homosexual. 1Cor….if you really research this text homosexual’s is not the correct word it is a word that MAN has interperted it to be. Please reseach it some more. Jesus said NOTHING about homosexuality except for love your neighbor….
If livng in a fairy tale means believing in the Bible then you are RIGHT!!! I would also like to thank you for opinion of my sad meaningless life LOL. I could say the same but for all I know you are a great person just with a different opinion. Have a great day!
Blah, blah, blah. its sad that people like Joel Osteen and Eric Aguirre hide behind religion to spew their hatred. And the sheeple that follow them are just as bad.
Don’t forget pork!! they too are concidered bottom feeders. I JUST LOVE HOW PEOPLE BECOME SO RUDE WHEN OTHER PEOPLES OPINIOS AREN’T THE SAME. You have a great day Mr. Gaurd War Games.
Hi there,,,,Everyone here who says its ok to call out some people as sinners, remember that the next time you go to church , or pray on the street corner, that jesus willl be looking down upon you and calling you a hypocrite 😉 Be careful what you wish for ? It reminds me of this: ” You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. ” If you had read your bible through the eyes of love , – you would know that, or is the sin of ‘judge not lest ye be judged’, just too tempting ? It’s always easier it seems , to use vitriol , against ‘the sinner’ ? Is the fact that the American Psychiatric Society does not see the gay lifestyle as a ‘sin’, lost on those here ?? , and that Jesus said nothing about such alternative lifestyles ? THose here who claim its a ‘sin’ and are willing to speak out so venomously about it, instead of coming from a place of ‘love’, need to remember that then, they may very well be responsible for someones suicide, or for being a victim of hate speech or bullying; and in my opinion your actions are dangerously close to inciting riot, and should probably be illegal and possibly punishable by fine &/or imprisonment, just as similar things are ( yelling fire in theatre). Let’s not forget , that as children of ‘our’ God(s: whomever you look to), we all have a very real, tangible responsiblity to ‘each other’, not just to our selfish selves; and to not see that, is to be too busy looking in the mirror. GOd loves all of us,not just a select few, so lets stop the hate already shall we ? 😉 Can’t we all just live our lives , without ridicule from those who have supposedly read their bible, yet find it ‘ok’ to judge and persecute others, just because it makes them feel more superior, where by jesus example just the opposite is demanded ! 😉 Yes, it’s time to put aside those tired judgemental ways, and let people live, and maybe, just maybe the intolerance/hate that seems to rear its ugly head in our world ; coming from such misunderstandings, poverty and crime, will start to slowly dissipate/end 🙂
The bashing of gays, whom are relatively peaceful people, occurs because they are a safe target for some religious groups and hatemongers to have an agenda from which to FAKE fortitude. It is that simple. Because the insecure “macho” male as often as possible needs to convince himself, and others, of his masculinity. Now just imagine if these same groups, and society per se, had a modicum of that misplaced energy geared towards battling the real dilemmas which affect the core of our families, such as adultery, domestic violence, and divorce. I would venture to say that religious institutions would lose an abundance of parishioners if they made adultery, for example, their first and foremost concern and not homosexuality, if at all. After all, adultery, more often than not, is the precursor to domestic violence and divorce, all of which hurt children who later carry these scars into adulthood. Homosexuality, on the other hand, plays NO ROLE on any of these issues or the increased lack of “family values” which gays are somehow the culprit of. Perplexing, indeed. Actually, wasn’t the world flat when the laws in this book were written?
Laura – Don’t forget pathetic! Sad, meaningless and pathetic. Rude? You believe that its appropriate to come to a gay oriented website Laura and spew your vile, hate filled, bigoted, anti-gay rhetoric, but YOU find others to be rude? You are a piece of work Laura. Isnt there a neo-Nazi site around where you would feel more at home?
I do not feel Osteen is a bad person. Ignorant, yes. He appears to be jumping on the pastoral anti-gay bandwagon. At least he’s not protesting funerals and gay clinics, however he should really meet with the gay community and get to know “the homosexuals” he wants to preach to and condemn for their “chosen lifestyle”.
LAURA JACKSON: You said: “We can’t choose what part of Gods words we want to live by, we have to except all of his words.” If you believe what you just said then you are only fooling yourself. Everyone who follows the bible picks and chooses what they want to live by. Christians choose not to own slaves yet slaves are condoned in the old and new testament. Christians also choose to let women speak in church yet the new testament says that women should never speak in church. There are hundreds of examples like this in the new and old testament that Christians pick and choose to live by. I suggest you try again.
Remember what he said last night- “Gay people go to my church.” Something along thoses lines.
@Laura- If u think u know my life. Tell me why a group who shall not be named and the whole NTX Gay Community is out calling me a bunch a names and don’t want me to have a bf? Ya, and where was all of theses groups when I was being bullied? Ya, answer that.
God will judge all of our sins. His word will not change no matter how we decide to live our lives. Read the bible for yourself. I once was confused about my sexuality. But He show me myself and why He created me. And He gave me the power to Change. If you don’t believe that He is real. Then you invite Him in to your heart and ask Him for the help that you need, to understand who He really is.
Being a Gay Person i respect Pastors Thoughts he has his own views he is not bashing or discriminating against gay or lesbians or anything to that nature. He also has the right to view his own religious views saying he thinks its a sin (but the bible) is backing up his words. Like he said everyone sin’s. I do not think he is that bad of a person.
Matther Nalett – Maybe you need to take your self-loathing self to the neo-Nazi site with Laura.
Ok I have reread All my post. Where dId I BASH ANYONE? Because I agree it’s a sin? I also believe lying is a sin but I love my kids with everyone they have told. I beleive that Jesus loves all of us sinners it’s all our sins he could do without. Also, I let my niece read what I posted and her partner( who are vey much committed to each other) and they both said it sounds like you folks are the ones ready to hate.
@ Preppystudent I am really sorry for all the hatered you have had to deal with. People are cruel when they don’t agree with a certian lifestyle. I really don’t have a problem with the whole gay issue. But that wasn’t the question on hand. Also, I lost my son 2 years ago in a car accident he was 19, I am sure he had plenty of sin I am sure of, what 19yr. old doesn’t? However, it’s our hearts that I believe Father Gods looks at, if not we would probly all go to hell. I have always believed That our purpose while we are here is to love and to be loved and not to judge. I know what hate can feel like because I am married to a wonderful black man 21yrs. but some people will never get it. Folks the bible is loaded with scripture and yes it can be interpided in many ways but I don’t believe it was ever ment to cause the meanness that is going on.
Clyde what are you talking about???? Why are you so ready to attack??? I am not sure why you think i hate gay people but that was not the question… The question was is it a sin? Now with that being said We all commit sin and just because it fits our lifestyle doesn’t mean it’s not sin. I am is an interracial marriage and that too is a sin. Like I said you know nothing about me. Clyde I am sorry that I have upset you but I really believe you misunderstood me.
The bible does not say its a sin matthew, so saying ‘its ok’ for him to do so, is spewing lies against Jesus and God almighty. God does not condemn man, for things seen in nature ( remember that other animals sometimes display same sex affection, and god loves animals too and doesn’t go around ‘destroying’ them for doing so , etc. ) , only man ( some men ) has reached such heights of ignorance and intolerance. Saying its a ‘sin’ is just another way to incite hate against gay people, and deny them ‘rights’ in society. Those things are very important Matthew, so next time you stick up for that sick pastor and his OLD school beliefs, think about that 😉

There especiallly you see qualified , intelligent trained professionals , stating important things, and reading it wouldn’t hurt, and further makes it clear that if indeed we dont choose our sexuality, then why on earth would god or Jesus call it a sin ( given its out of our control ,so why call it a sin ? ) , as would that not be rather presumptive for us to consider such things, given that only God and Jesus were considered ‘perfect’ and asked no one to judge , but only love them and for us to love each other ? You can’t have it both ways 😉 ( love and hate don’t mix ). Therefore calling it a sin is MOOT, and only incites others to hate speech and violence, which are BOTH against the word of jesus and god in the bible.
The clear idea there is that love is the most important, and you can’t state that you love, and are therefore part of god and jesus , if you hate instead of love. Think about that the next time any of you try to use the bible, which teaches love in abundance, to point fingers of hate at anyone, then goto church next Sunday pretending to be good little christians.
hey i was not intending to get bashed on i was just saying everyone has the right to there own opinion if he feels its a sin that is for him to figure out on his own time. I am gay married to a guy over 8 years and well i do not care if people think we are “sinning” He did say he does not hate gay people and has gay people who attend his church and he did say that his own views its a sin to be homosexual so if he wants to live his own life that way as long as he is not bashing and accepts gay folks as human beings that is at least a start.
So sad to see this many people get this bent out of shape over a prehistoric book of myths. Smh. To each their own, I suppose.
I am so glad that Joel Osteen FINALLY stood up and spoke the Truth that homosexuality is sin, because it is. I still believe he could’ve done a much better job at showing where it declares this in Scripture, but at least he finally took a stand on this issue…. somewhat of a stand anyway. Any pastor who tries to say that homosexuality is not sin, and/or, that people walking in a homosexual lifestyle will be in Heaven is a LIAR! But, again, this is a sign of the end times we are in…. The Bible talks about how evil will abound even more before Christ’s return, and it surely is abounding…. Jesus is not coming back as a baby in a manger, He is returning as Bridegroom Judge, to rid the world of all of the evil. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah?!?!!! Woe to those who do not repent and follow Him with all their heart. They will surely regret it. God will not strive with man forever….
For Matt Nalett, I would encourage you to seek out ministries that are out there helping people who struggle with same sex attraction, because God can deliver us from ANY sin if we choose to repent of it. That’s just it though…. you must be willing to recognize that your homosexual lifestyle is sin. You can go to church every day of the week, but if you are unrepentant, there is no forgiveness of sins, period. If we could live any way we wanted and still go to Heaven, why did Jesus come and give His life for each of us, and such a horrible, torturing death at that…. It’s by His grace that you and I don’t have to be up on that cross because He made the way out… but, WE MUST choose to follow AND OBEY Him. He said that those who love Him are those who obey His Word. You can be delivered of homosexuality… I personally know people who have overcome it.
The word “homosexual” does not appear anywhere in the Bible — that words was not invented in any language, until the 1890s, when for the first time the awareness developed that there are people with a constitutional orientation toward their own sex.
In the whole Bible, there are only seven brief passages that deal with homosexual behavior. The first is the story of Sodom and Gomorra, which I preached on last fall, which is actually irrelevant to the issue. The attempted ‘gang rape’ in Sodom has nothing to say about whether or not genuine love expressed between consenting adults of the same gender is legitimate.
Neither does the passage in Deuteronomy 23, which refers to Canaanite fertility rites that have infiltrated Jewish worship. Passages in I Corinthians and I Timothy refer to male prostitution. Two often-quoted passages prohibiting male homosexual behavior are found in the book of Leviticus. Leviticus also stipulates that any man who touches a woman during her menstrual period is to be stoned to death, that adulterers are to be executed, that interracial marriage is sinful, that two types of cloth are not to be worn together, and certain foods must never be eaten.
I know of no Christians, no matter how fundamentalist, who believe that Christians are bound to obey all of the Levitical laws. Instead we are driven to ask deeper questions about how to rightly interpret Scripture, how to separate the Word of God from cultural norms and prejudices — that is, how to separate the Message from the envelope in which it comes.
The final text that deals with homosexual behavior is found in Paul’s letter , in which he unequivocally condemns homosexual behavior. The background for his understanding was the common Roman practice of older males ‘keeping’ young boys for sexual exploitation, which he was right to condemn.
But even if this were not the case, even if Paul knew about and condemned all forms of homosexual behavior, even the most loving, what then? Paul also told women not to teach, not to cut their hair, not to speak in church. Do we follow his teaching? He told slaves to obey their masters not once, but five times — are we prepared to say today, as Southern slave owners argued 150 years ago, that slavery is God’s will?
The fact is, I am not a disciple of Paul. I am an admirer of Paul, but a disciple of Jesus Christ. Paul himself says that we should not follow him, but Christ alone. Let us not forget that we today, have a ‘meat eating society’ in large parge, due not to Jesus teachings ( he was a vegetarian by many scriptures , and well common sense: he taught compassion and loved animals! ) , but because paul said eating meat ‘was weak’ . So I come back, again to the life and teaching of Jesus as the center of my faith. In that light all other biblical teaching must be critiqued. There are seven passages about homosexual behavior in the Bible, all of which are debatable as to their meaning for us today. There are thousands of references in the Bible that call us, as Jesus commands, to love our neighbor, to work for peace and reconciliation among all people, and to leave judgment to God.
thanks for reading ;)your neighbor, who IS willing to love , not hate; as Jesus commands
Since I can’t seem to edit my posts dear readers, I wanted to do so here and make it clear that,
I meant to say above , that paul said ” ‘not’ eating meat , was a sign of weakness “, which today we clearly know is ludicrous 😉
You can read more about that here if you wish:

love out
@dallaslife,
You mean a book , with an abundant message,m that love is the key to life, not hate ? 😉
If you call that myth, I hope you don’t live your life according to principles 180 of the bibles teachings 😉
sincerely
love
Joel Osteen doesn’t want to judge. He also doesn’t want to actually teach the Bible. Larry king asked him if Jesus was the only way to Heaven. Joel replied that he would leave that up to God. Benny Hinn watched it and said he wanted to jump through the tv and punch “the minister”. (now I am not a fan of Benny Hinn, but I was surprised that he got so angry at Joel). If Joel Osteen is so worried about offending people then yes, he should step down. He says he wasn’t called to judge-but to uplift people-at the expense of not preaching the “whole council of Christ” as Paul did. Joel wasn’t called period. It is his job as a minister to teach the Bible. All of It . He only teaches the parts that uplight people. There is more to the Bible than that.
OMG – I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I’m sooooooo glad l live in Boston now.
You can’t keep calling a person’s natural sexual orientation a “sin” or support depriving them of equal rights yet say you’re not hateful. Homosexuality is not a sin, it never was, and never will be.
Just an FYI, Laura (and anyone else who believes this) if someone claims to have changed their sexual orientation, they are either lying to you or happen to be a bisexual- change does not happen. Get out of your fundamentalist bigoted mindset and step into the 21st century.
In addition to Matthew 7:1-5, check out 2 Samuel 1:26. It suggests that Jesus’ ancestor David was…at least a little bent. If you can pick and choose your verses, we can too. The two great commandments don’t say anything at all about judging other people. Not to mention, why don’t the Joel Osteens of the world focus our attention on “blessed are the peacemakers” or “it easier for a camel to get through a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven?” You don’t get to pick your favorite issues…unless you are a hypocrite.
It doesn’t matter what Joel Osteen or Piers Morgan thinks. What matters, in the end, is what God thinks. Joel Osteen is simply saying that God himself says this is a sin. That is ultimately who we will have to answer to. Piers is wasting time, speaking as though Joel’s opinion is the most important thing. It is not. God’s is.

What does that scripture have to do with anything? Clearly you are no Bible scholar yourself.
Religious scholars often disagree on certain scriptures, so using the bible to do our dirty work is iffy at best, but I suspect , given that Jesus never said anything about homosexuality, then its a moot issue . Professionally , in current day world, we know that the American Psychiatric Institute clearly says that homosexualiy is not ‘devian’t and you can google that to verify that its fact. If Joel really believes gay individuals are so sinful, he does not deserve to be on TV, let alone a minister. He is a false prophet, and we know what the bible and Jesus said about such people, don’t we. We are asked to love god, and our neighbors as ourselves.
I believe in God and communicate with him every day. I believe in learning about positive and real values in everything I do. I also grew up Catholic and I had to leave my church because it rejected my whole sexual self and used to go through depressions like “crazy.” I finally realized that I had to accept my sexuality or it could end my life. I now realize that I am not hurting anyone, that my family and friends love me the way I am, and that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with me loving and finding somebody attractive of my same sex.
Finnaly, I hope that one day I will find my true love and God will be very happy as long as I keep trying to stay positive and being generous to others. I know he will and is watching me as I write this.
May he bless my married friends so they can keep loving eachother in the bad times and the good.
People like Joel (and much worse) just make me feel like I should watch my back in any public situation. Gays are not perfect, just like anyone else, but I believe “the scriptures” we’re written by humans and therefore imperfect.
On the look for a more accepting church!
Way to go Joel!! These queer advocates are now trying to change what churches teach now. The devil is really trying to spread his sin coast to coast. Saying being queer is fine and dandy is like saying pedeophilly is fine, rape is fine, murder is fine, on and on. Yes we are all sinners but don’t expect any church to say go ahead its ok, do what you like. You will get a rude awakening on judgement day!!
